How do we shift to a systems thinking mindset and consider the context, stakeholders, and unintended consequences of our design decisions?

As design continues to impact our products, services, and solutions at scale, it is more important than ever to understand the systems and context that surround design decisions.

Join us for a conversation with Sheryl Cababa, Chief Design Officer at Substantial, and Dimeji Onafuwa, co-founder of Common Cause Collective, in celebration of the launch of Sheryl's new book Closing the Loop: Systems Thinking for Designers.

They will discuss what systems thinking looks like in theory and practice, and how to incorporate it into design projects to understand the systems and context that surround design decisions.

The evening will include a Q&A with the author and end with some time to meet other attendees and talk more about what you heard.

Book Club:

In the weeks following this event we will be hosting a book club to dig into Closing the Loop in more detail. Sign up for our newsletter for more information!

This event is being hosted by Common Cause Collective in partnership with Substantial.

Note: By reserving a ticket you're agreeing to our Code Of Conduct and giving us permission to take photos that may or may not show your face at our event. If you have a concern with either of these things, please reach out here.
